The Fame Monster

Americans are obsessed with fame and with being famous.
Why’s everyone have to be famous? why’s everyone have to be a musician? maybe not everyone’s meant to be a musician, producer, composer or performer. Ever think of that? Find what you excel at and enjoy and can earn a living at and pursue that. If you’re doing music because you think it’s an easy way to fame and fortune you’re dead wrong…There are far easier ways to make money AND to get famous.
You don’t have to be a rapper, ‘producer’, singer or superstar whatever to be a success in life. Maybe you were meant 2 b a great writer.
Things have changed so much in my life. I trained in music all my life. Taught myself how to read music, practiced piano for hours every day and WORKED hard at a goal. I wrote song after song and recorded track after track working on perfect. I got a scholarship to study music and toured Europe. Just having a job doing what I love was my goal.
And now you literally have kids who know NOTHING about music whatsoever coming along getting paid $10,000’s+ because they bought $100 music software that lets them make a simple beat and their cousin Pookie knows someone who knows Jeezy or an A&R from Young Money or some dumb ish.
I’m tired. I’m over it. It’s time I take a different direction with my life and used my talents and gifts in a different way where they are useful and appreciated and I’m both giving and getting something back. I have a lot of thinking to do but for now expect no more music from Eddy J. Free for a while.
